Searching

It has something to do with leaving home and finding home somewhere else. It has something to do with getting away from the familiar, and allowing the familiar to become unfamiliar. Coming home and realizing all your high school friends are gone, that that life is gone. That your relationship to your parents has changed. That the kid you were when you left has gone through a death too. What if the ghost is the journeyor's former self? When we leave home, do we leave parts of ourselves behind?

"The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God." - Demian, Herman Hesse

That's probably relevant. It seems it always is, in my life.

"...for by acting the god, by presenting his external form, he becomes the god, the form fills with its content, and as the god he performs the acts that fulfill the divine will with all its beneficent results for the community." - The Treasures of Darkness, Thorklid Jakobsen

That also has something to do with it.

Figuring it out, a little at a time.

Nothing is ever gone.

We simply can't experience all of infinity at once.
